Lakes Area Gymnastics Booster Club Minutes

The Monthly meeting of the Lakes Area Gymnastics Booster Club was held on 1/18/2012, 6:07pm at Mulligan’s. The following members were present: Mariann Hokanson, Brian Martinson, Shawn Peichel, Sara Peichel, Heather Fones, and Alana Burns.
Secretary’s report: N/A
Treasurer’s report: Dan Meyer presented Treasurers report. Brian Martinson gave Dan Meyer the tip Money from this past summer’s hot Dog sales at Deans to deposit and also made a motion to except Treasurers report. Seconded by Shawn Peichel.
Old Business:
Annual report meeting minutes will be handed out next meeting.
Web Page development: at this time the Web Page in on hold. Allen Burns is going too talked to someone on web page development and managing a web page. She will give report at next meeting. She will also set up a facebook account for Perham Gymnastics.
Skratchers fundraiser: At this time we have 6 local sponsors that will put up coupons for the skratchers Brian Martinson and Allena Burns are working on getting 4 more. If we are unable to get four more sponsors by next meeting we will use the national sponsors put on by skratchers.
New Business:
Jackie Mann: Concessions went smooth this year with the new setup and were successful. Taco in a bag was the best in sales. A comment was made for next year to get more parents involved so that the parents that have kids performing are not working during that time, and can see them perform.
Butter Braids Fundraiser: A motion was made by Brian Martinson to do this fundraiser for Easter. Seconded by Shawn peichel. Peichels accepted to run the fundraiser. Dan Meyer said he would talk to the meat locker to store the butter braids before distributing them at if the weather is warm when they arrive.
Email list for booster club members: The current email list was gone through and deletions and additions were made. I will talk to Charlie Fleck About getting a more updated list.
Gymnastics sign removed from DQ Lot and will be moved to the old Ford lot. At this time it is being stored at Steve Brietenfeldts Shop. Talks of a bigger Triangular shaped signed was discussed with more room for sponsors and a sign that can seen from both directions. Brian Martinson, Shawn Epochal and Steve Brietenfeldt are working on this, and ideas will be brought to the next meeting.
Perham High School Dollars for Scholars: Brian Martinson made a motion to approve $250.00 Seconded by Mariann Hokanson.
RADA Fundraiser: a motion was made to do the RADA fundraiser in the spring by Brian Martinson, seconded my Mariann Hokanson. A date of April 9 was discussed for handing out RADA Forms and they need to be handed in by April 30.
State Gymnastics meet and Hotel arrangements discussed. A block of 20 rooms have been reserved by Jody Martinson for 81.00/night. Mark Halbakken is also checking on prices at the Ramada.
Next Meeting: Feb 15, 6:00 pm Mulligan’s.
Motion was made to adjourn meeting at 7:35pm, made by Brian Martinson and seconded by Shawn Peichel.
