The Monthly Meeting of the Lakes Area Gymnastics Booster Club was held on 6/19/13at 6pm at SteVelly’s. Officers Present: Brian Martinson, President: Shawn Piechel, Vice President:Alanna Burns, Secretary: Voting Member, MariannHokanson: Other booster members present: Jen Soule, Dean Bahls, Lynn Brietenfelt, Sarah Piechel.
Meeting Called to Order: 6:05pm by Brian Martinson
Secretary’s Report: Minutes were dispersed via email for the month of May and approved
Treasurer’s report: Dan Meyer was absent, but treasurer’s report was dispersed for review.No more sign campaign money came in. Dean motioned for approval, Shawn second.
Sign Campaign: Shawn is going to go to several businesses that are due for renewal to try to collect. Also going to some new businesses to get them to sponsor a sign.
Website / Facebook:Need to start a transition for someone to take over the website by November.
Upcoming fundraisers: Hot dog sales,next cookout is scheduled for June 28 at Deans. Volunteers needed. See Brian. Pizza Ranch on July 1 bussing tables. 25% of that nights sales go to the group. Tulip Sales for fall, Alanna to bring more info next meeting. Possible spring fundraiser for next year, hanging baskets from Blossoms, Birds and Beyond.
Pre order clothing: Clothing sales moved to Long Weekend. Sarah will only be ordering clothing on a pre-order basis from now on.
Past fundraisers: Car wash went great, we profited $600.50. Definitely want to do again next year.
Summer picnic date is on hold as of right now.
Mariann gave copies of proposed bylaws for the group to review.
Next meeting is scheduled for July 17th at 6pm at SteVelly’s.
